The one million-person city of Tuscon is one of the southwest’s most charming communities.  Just 118 miles from Phoenix and sixty miles from the United States’ border with Mexico, the city is a diverse blend of people of all walks of life.  A large central business district and downtown area is home to several companies and office buildings.  Additionally, the University of Arizona is located in the midtown area.  Because of the importance of several companies based in the area, Tucson real estate is often sold at a premium.  Apartments, houses, and even large plots of land are typically sold above average prices in the immediate area due to overwhelming demand.

As a very convenient place to live, residents are just a few miles from the Tucson International Airport.  The airfield is just six miles from the central business district and is served by a number of carriers.  Southwest Airlines is the largest airline in Tucson and operates non-stop flights to Albuquerque, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Diego while American Airlines is the second-largest, serving Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago.  Residents of housing in Tucson are also subjected to the rich local culture, that includes several annual events, including the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, Tucson Folk Festival, Fourth Avenue Street Fair, the Tucson Rodeo, Tucson Meet Yourself, All Souls Procession Weekend, and other cultural heritage events.
